Choose Hope Donates to Cancer Research. This is Where the Money Goes

Choose Hope Donates to Cancer Research

You can feel good about purchasing from Choose Hope, and you deserve to know why! Our tagline says it best, “serving the cancer community, supporting cancer research.”

Serving the Cancer Community

Since we began in March of 1999, we have been providing cancer awareness products in 30 acknowledged cancer colors. These items have provided support and comfort to people in all stages of the cancer journey, and we are thrilled to see how such simple things can impact a person’s life in such a positive way.

We have also donated products to benefits, fundraisers, relays and individuals – so many in fact that we actually have a “donation” area set up inside our facility. If someone asks, we give, because that’s who we are.

Supporting Cancer Research

The real reason Choose Hope exists is to give back to cancer research, to help fund the cure, and to give cancer patients hope. We lost our partner, Chris, in 2003 to metastatic breast cancer which only served to motivate us to work harder, sell more, and donate larger portions.

And before you ask what cancers we donate to, let us reassure you that our donations are always earmarked for ALL cancers. We realize better than anyone that many cancers have not received their fair share of research funding, and one of our goals was to help put an end to this. Cancer is cancer – it all sucks!

Where the Cancer Research Donations Go

Many companies run campaigns to raise funds for cancer research. Unfortunately, in several cases, very little of the funds raised are actually put towards research and treatment.

At Choose Hope, we put a lot of time and effort into making sure our dollars are well spent. We have handpicked facilities around the country that we feel are doing a great job with research. Places like MD Anderson, Mayo Clinic, Dana Farber, St. Jude and Stand Up To Cancer are making amazing strides in cancer research today.

We always look at the return on every dollar. For example, for every dollar donated to Stand Up To Cancer, 100% of it goes directly into dream team research. Now that’s what we are talking about!

Deciding How Much to Give

There isn’t a formula for our giving. Because we are a business, we have to operate like one. So we have those things called expenses. But when all is said and done, we can proudly say that this company that began with three determined ladies making buttons around the kitchen table has donated over $950,000 to date. Pretty awesome, wouldn’t you say?

We are the Only Company that Wants to Go Out of Business

Yes, you read that right. We started this company because Chris was waging a battle with cancer, and we saw firsthand the need for new drugs that might save her life.

When there’s a cure for cancer, there will be no need for Choose Hope. On that day, we will have accomplished what we set out to do.

It’s as simple as that!

Thank you for your info on where the money goes. It is truely a blessing that your company gives so much to cancer research. I can say that now that I know where the money goes I will continue to purchase from you but also spread the word on how much money you give to research. Thank you so much for all you do

I’ve always loved donation services for different causes, and after a recent family battle with cancer, I’d love to be able to help out with that cause. I’m glad that you talked about being able to know where the money you donate goes when it comes to cancer or other causes. I love knowing how I’m making a difference more than just knowing that I’m giving someone money! I’ll be sure that I know where my money is going when it comes to cancer donations, and hopefully I can find a good local charity!
