Never did I imagine, when this nightmare wouldn't end.
That things would work out for the best, and I would gain a friend.

God must have looked upon me, and knew what he had to do.
He saw me through the darkness, then guided me to you.

I've found someone to share with, one I always know is near.
Someone who will boost me up, whenever doubts appear.

You showed me courage and caring, and how to fight and win.
But most of all you showed me to laugh at the mess we're in.

Yes, I may have lost my breast, it's something I had to do.
To find the best reward of all, the friend I've found in you.
