Who We Are
Cancer affects us all. Along with the diagnosis come choices. We can choose to give in or fight with all we have. We chose the latter. Our weapons; a positive attitude, faith, hope, love, and healing. When you have the first, the rest will follow. A diagnosis of cancer affects so many people. Not only those with the cells gone wrong, but family members, friends, co-workers, etc. Doing
something...even the simple act of wearing an awareness ribbon...can mean so much to those who are fighting the fight of their life. Drawing on our experience as patients and caregivers with many hours spent in the chemo room, we realized the need for inspirational and humorous products designed by cancer survivors for cancer survivors. It is through the sale of these products that we are able to raise money for cancer research.
Choose Hope began humbly around a kitchen table in early 1999. There were three of us, Chris, Paula, and Linda, making buttons and giving them out. We have grown a lot since then...we now have an amazing staff just as dedicated as we are, and our product line has expanded beyond our wildest dreams. Through our daily phone conversations with many of you, we have witnessed your strength and courage as well as your tears and sadness. We strongly believe that we were all brought together for a reason, and that we are guided by a hand much bigger than us. This is Choose Hope...after all, what else would we choose?
Two of us, Linda and Chris, were diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997. Linda remains in remission, but sadly, Chris lost her battle in April of 2003. While we miss her tremendously, the two of us remaining will continue to carry out our original goals. Some day we will win this war!
A portion of all sales benefit cancer research and services. Monthly contributions are made to cancer research facilities across the country. Our fervent wish is to see this disease halted; for us, for our families, our friends, and for you. Every time a purchase is made, our dream of hope continues. We welcome the day a cure is found and we are put out of business!
