Choose Hope Gives Back

Choose Hope Gives Back

When the three of us began Choose Hope nearly 20 years ago, our goal was selfishly simple: help fund cancer research so Chris would live to see her two children grow up. While we weren’t able to change the course of fate with Chris, we have been able to help many others on their journey.

Choose Hope Gives Back

Since 2003, when Chris passed away, many things have changed, but one thing has remained constant – the need to give. Funding cancer research is key to our mission of giving back. Through the sales of cancer support items and gifts for cancer patients, we have been able to donate over $970,000. We are pretty proud of that and we know that Chris would have been thrilled to see what we’ve accomplished!

Where Does the Money Go

While we have given to so many deserving facilities over the years, we have a few favorites. First and foremost is Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C), the non-profit that came about 10 years ago through efforts of the entertainment industry. SU2C funds cutting edge research using collaboration by top researchers in their respective fields. Since SU2C became involved in 2008, the face of cancer research has changed immensely. Best of all, 100% of every dollar goes directly to research – imagine that!

In addition to SU2C, we believe strongly in Mayo Clinic, Dana Farber, Duke, MD Anderson, St. Jude, and our own UW Carbone Cancer Center right here in Madison, WI.

So What Does That Mean for You?

Choose Hope has stood the test of time and while others have come and gone, we strongly believe we are here for a reason – one that originated with Chris and continues to be a driving force for us today. We have a responsibility to each of you and to the cancer community to do our very best to put an end to cancer. Remember, with each purchase from Choose Hope, you are helping us achieve this goal.
