Our Story: From Kitchen Table to Enduring Mission
Choose Hope was born from a simple act of kindness in 1999. Founders Chris, Paula, and Linda, two of whom were navigating breast cancer diagnoses, started making buttons at a kitchen table to bring smiles to faces in the chemo room. Chris envisioned a business fueled by this spirit – one that would fund cancer research and embody hope. When asked about the name, she’d say, “Well what else would we choose?”
Though Chris sadly lost her battle in 2003, her spirit and mission lived on. Linda and Paula continued Choose Hope for many years.
Continuing the Journey
When Paula decided to retire in 2019, the future of Choose Hope was uncertain. Fate stepped in when Shannon learned of the potential closure and acquired the business. Shannon passionately led Choose Hope, continuing its support for the cancer community until deciding to close operations at the end of 2024.
A New Beginning
Determined that this vital resource should continue, D&E Printing Company, Inc. reached out to Shannon. We are excited and honored to share that as of May 1, 2025, D&E Printing Company, Inc. owns and operates Choose Hope.
With deep expertise in custom printed items, D&E Printing Company, Inc. is well positioned and enthusiastically committed to continuing and expanding the Choose Hope mission. We will continue to provide the cancer awareness products, information, and resources that mean so much to patients, survivors, families, friends, and anyone wanting to show support.
