Karen, cancer survivor

Karen P’s Story

I was diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian Cancer in August, 2018.  I started chemo in September, had surgery in November of that year and more chemo treatments.  After thirteen rounds of different and same chemo infusion over the last five years, I still have cancerous tumors on my lymph nodes.  I am still on chemo treatment with the hope that this one works but my cancer tumors are very stubborn.

My Ca count has been as high at 1000 points and as low as 35 but it never stays consistent at the same number.  Today my count is at 270.

There have been days where I have not been able to get out of bed but I am thankful for every day in the last five years that I am still here and able to spend time with my family.  I am also thankful for my family and friends that have been my support system.
