This year marks the 9-year anniversary of my winning the battle against cancer. I am proud to have fought so hard. As I reached the stepping off point of this Earth due to sepsis from treatment a great force pulled me back… the will to live is such a powerful thing. Although I am proud to have won the battle… it is also bittersweet having lost family members to cancer. I live each day in honor of all lives lost and those who continue to fight.
