Kevin W’s Story

Sep 8, 2021 | Survivor of the Week

I’m 68 years old and in 2018 I was diagnosed with NHL stage 4 grade 2. I went thru the treatment and went on to the maintenance program in 2019.  In Jan 2020 I went to the ER for a pain in my side and that’s when they discovered a tumor on my pancreas which turned out to be 3 metastasized lymph nodes.

At that time I had what is called a Whipple Procedure (they remove a bunch of things), then when I was physically able I went thru 26 days of radiation and chemo therapy. After two pet scans they determined that there was no sign of the pancreatic cancer and that my NHL had gone into remission so I’m back on the maintenance program for 14 months and then what ever the good Lord has for me.
