I am a 26 year old male. After several months of struggling with fevers, fatigue, and a growing pandemic – I was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s, and quickly started treatment. I immediately improved but still had to take on 6 months of chemotherapy in mostly isolation with my wonderful partner.
After going through a couple cycles of ABVD and then escalated BEACOPP, I went into a complete remission and just finished my last treatment in January. Many days and nights of nausea, fatigue, depression, anemia – all coming to a wrap now. 2021 is already off to a much better start and it wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of our researchers, scientists, and doctors that have worked so hard to get closer to a cure and hopefully determine the root causes of these diseases. Good nutrition and routine light exercises helped me a long way with controlling the side effects.
