What People Are Saying

  • 2 Star Review  I love this bracelet and everything it says the only bad part is the metal is not good and will turn your wrist green after awhile and a rash will accumulate in that area because of it. t

2 Star Review  I really like this bracelet, I continue to buy them for my daughter & I,think I am going to stop getting this bracelet. The color on the beads always fades away and your left with just clear beads with a little color on the ends (if your lucky). I have brought this to their attention before and they did replace them at that time, but they did not improve them at all, so it continues to happen. Very sad because we both very much like this bracelet. Never have a problem with anything else I order. Nice products otherwise & will continue to order other things. Just unfortunately not these. 🙁

  • 5 Star Review  I guess I have bought this one prematurely! I just finished my chemotherapy and will be doing radiation soon. I am fortunate enough to have a good prognosis so I decided to go ahead and get this for when I do complete my treatments as I have faith that is what my outcome will be!

5 Star Review  Received the wristbands I ordered within 2 days of ordering. Great Service, price and product. I am a Kidney Cancer Survivor and
I have purchased some extra bands to give to others I know going through Cancer. I wear mine 24/7 to remind myself that I have
survived this and tell everyone about the bands I wear and how they helped me out during the trying times I had.

    0 Star Review  Dear Santa,

I am asking you to bring some understanding and enlightenment to people I encounter.

I have been getting cancer treatments for a little over a year and I am finding certain comments hurtful and dismissive.  When asked how I am doing I usually answer ‘fine, but tired’.  I am met with responses of “why do you think you are so tired?” and other responses of “you’ll be fine”, “just stay positive” and “you know they are putting poison in you”.  I believe these people mean well and don’t know what to say, but it leaves me feeling discounted.  I am no drama queen but feel these comments are insensitive and not supportive.

A more appropriate, supportive response to someone going through a challenging medical time would be “I hope the treatment is successful, wishing you the best outcome” or “I am sure you must get tired, I bet those naps help.”

Don’t barrage someone with texts and phone calls after an appointment, you don’t know how fatiguing or what happened in that appointment.  And please don’t ask if you can “share” the medical information with others.  It feels like a gossip channel not a support system.

Anyway I hope this letter can be used to enlighten the support system of anyone going through a medical crisis.

4 Star Review  I have had pins in the past but for the value and the cost they do not compare to the one I bought through Choose Hope. It is a nice pin, small enough to wear on a collar, and the heart cutout is a nice way of expressing your love for someone. I also like that it comes in all cancer colors so it is versatile for any cancer victim or caregiver!

  • 5 Star Review  I have this on my car to remind others that 'no one fights alone'. Besides the medical team, there are the family and friends and co-workers and organizational friends and more. I bought magnets for my adult children's cars, husband's and my car. I hope other drivers read the magnet and think for one second-"right, no one fights alone!". I know that I didn't fight alone and neither did my twin sister nor too many friends! I am happy that my family chose to put the magnet on their cars in support.

So, hopefully, the public will realize that they have an important role to play in supporting the patient with cancer and the caregivers, too.
