  I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the pins I purchased from Choose Hope. I purchased the Head and Neck cancer ribbons as I recently had surgery for oral cancer (tongue cancer).   Excellent advice, thanks for sharing. I'm a 5-year cancer survivor and have heard it all, both good and bad. Here's some of my tips: 1. Listen more, say less. 2. Bring soup. 3. Let your loved one take the lead in conversation. 4. Don't press for sensitive information, such as the stage of the disease or prognosis. 5. If you must Google, keep your findings to yourself. Every cancer case is extremely unique and beyond comparison. 6. Do not bombard your loved one with information. Let them absorb this new reality at their own pace. 7. Slow down. You will have time to figure this thing out and so will your beloved.

What to Say When a Family Member is Diagnosed with Cancer

  I like the feel of the beads. However, the color is way off. I am disappointed that the beads are more green and red than teal and pink.

Ribbon Awareness Car Magnet

  On May 11th, my mom was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. After the initial shock and tears wore off, she put on her brave face and swore she was going to not only beat it, but kick it's ass. She decided to do a clinical trial, not for herself, but for the hope that she could help in finding a cure for others diagnosed with cancer in the future. She started chemo yesterday. I ordered the gift bag for her and it arrived just in time. She cuddled up in the burgundy blanket, sucked on some queasy drops, and wrote in her journal. It's an eye opening experience walking into a treatment room and seeing the people there. Young, old, Hispanic, Caucasian, African American, male, female...some alone, some surrounded by loved ones. Some crying, some laughing, some sleeping, reading, talking up a storm. I don't think I ever realized the impact cancer had until I walked in with my unbelievably brave mother who chooses to fight. The bag, and all the other items I've ordered, provided exactly what she needed. Hope. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Whoever put this together knew what would be beneficial in a chilly treatment room, and everything in the bag assisted in making her more comfortable.

  These bracelets are very well made and beautiful. The colors are true. Since I am a survivor of cervical, ovarian and uterine cancer, I wear the bracelets together. The bracelets are a bit heavy, but wearing 2 together is still not too much. Love them. They are a sign of strength for me.

  I have been more than pleasantly surprised at the quality of this bracelet. A dear friend has bladder cancer and I ordered 3 bracelets for myself, my friend and her dear friend. I have not taken my bracelet off in over three weeks - not for shower, playing golf, yard work, etc. and it looks brand new. Each bracelet arrives in its own mesh bag with information and care instructions -- couldn't ask for a better product.
