I bought 2 of these, one for myself, and one for my husband, as he had stage 4 Bladder cancer. Since my husband has had his bladder, Prostrate, urethra, and 13 lymph nodes removed, he is now undergoing Chemo treatments. He has a positive attitude and is handling the Chemo so well, no one knows he has cancer, except the 5 or 6,000 people that are praying for us!

August 18, 2014 I think this product is immaculate. When you have someone you know and love go through this horrible disease, it's so hard to help them because the pain they are going through is something you can only help so much. By wearing the pin, it shows my support not only for my person but for every cancer patient out there. It helps spread awareness and it shows that we are part of their fight. We may not be able to wish away their pain but we are there to hold their hand, be by their side, and fight this horrible disease till the end with love and support. Dear Santa,
I am asking you to bring some understanding and enlightenment to people I encounter.
I have been getting cancer treatments for a little over a year and I am finding certain comments hurtful and dismissive. When asked how I am doing I usually answer ‘fine, but tired’. I am met with responses of “why do you think you are so tired?” and other responses of “you’ll be fine”, “just stay positive” and “you know they are putting poison in you”. I believe these people mean well and don’t know what to say, but it leaves me feeling discounted. I am no drama queen but feel these comments are insensitive and not supportive.
A more appropriate, supportive response to someone going through a challenging medical time would be “I hope the treatment is successful, wishing you the best outcome” or “I am sure you must get tired, I bet those naps help.”
Don’t barrage someone with texts and phone calls after an appointment, you don’t know how fatiguing or what happened in that appointment. And please don’t ask if you can “share” the medical information with others. It feels like a gossip channel not a support system.
Anyway I hope this letter can be used to enlighten the support system of anyone going through a medical crisis.

November 28, 2011 My son has been wearing a breast cancer awareness wristband as part of a breast cancer awareness month at school. I wanted to bring awareness to Head and Neck cancer as I recently had surgery for Oral cancer (tongue cancer) which is not so well known but cases of oral cancer in younger people are becoming more and more common and not only people who are heavy tobacco smokers or tobacco chewers etc These bands are great quality and fit well (we chose adult size). Hopefully people will ask about the unusual color of band (Cream and wine) and we can spread awareness. Great packaging and shipping also.

But so far, only 2 people have asked. That's OK - it won't stop me from wearing them. August 21, 2015 - If you're wondering if these will stay put- they will. These things are crazy sticky (yet repositionable). I ordered these stickers to honor the husband of a teammate. July 13, 2014 - I have been ordering from Choose Hope and in particular these bracelets for the last five years. Service is excellent and wristbands are made very well. The only complaint from my friends is that the color fades (at least the purple color ones). But this is because they have been wearing them in the shower. Mine hasn't faded yet.
